About Us
Originally established as a King’s Food Host in 1969 by William J. Wood, the Wood House Restaurant subsequently came into being around 1979. The Wood House is a locally-owned, non-chain family restaurant featuring many made in-house, from scratch, classic American food items, including:
The world’s finest hamburger, renowned broasted chicken, fantastic soups, awesome onion rings, classic cheese frenchees, hard ice cream malts, and a great selection of pies.
We take great pride in the daily grinding of our own USDA choice-grade Certified Angus Beef, the hand breading of our broasted chicken, and the many other homemade items. Some may call our old school, no-gimmicks style of good service and top-notch food a “throwback”, but we take that as a compliment.
We have been a staple in the Bismarck/Mandan area for decades and welcome all to give us a try. From the Wood House family to you, we wish you well.
